Image generation works offline on this PC. If Automatic1111 or Forge is running, Lifex uses it. If Ollama has an image model, that is used next. Otherwise Lifex paints the picture here, with no internet.
Online / platform APIs
OpenAI-compatible endpoints: OpenAI, Groq, OpenRouter, Together, LM Studio, vLLM.
Online pictures need an image-capable host such as OpenAI — Groq and other chat APIs cannot draw. Hybrid then tries a public image service, then a local Stable Diffusion / Ollama model, then a simple poster on this PC.
Videos are generated by an AI video model from the prompt. Groq cannot film. Hybrid tries a video-capable host, then Pollinations (needs a key for most models), then a local Wan / Comfy server. Lifex will not zoom a still picture and call it a video.
Voice
Lifex speaks with Windows voices on this PC — free, and nothing is sent to a cloud TTS service. For a more natural voice, install Microsoft’s Neural / Natural voices, then refresh this list.
- Open Windows Settings → Time & language → Speech.
- Choose Manage voices → Add voices, and pick English (United States) or United Kingdom.
- Install a Natural voice such as Microsoft Mark, Jenny, Aria, or George.
- Come back here, refresh voices, pick it, preview, then save.
Lifex Marketplace
Product search and “open marketplace” use the shop API on the server. Voice commands such as “find a Toyota in Kampala” or “open the marketplace” then open the public shop in the browser.
